Scott Macleod, born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Electric and standup bassist, guitarist, vocalist and songwriter, a prolific “live” and “studio musician” for over 40 years, Scott has played with and/or recorded with The Platters, The Inkspots, Buddy Knox, Carol Kaye, Ken Hamm, David Gogo, David Coverdale, Michael Behm, Steve Morris, Oscar Peterson, Valdy and many, many more. Scott’s bass tracks can be heard on over 100+ c.d’s and singles, soundtracks and on over a thousand recordings during the last two decades. Moving from Toronto to Vancouver, B.C.in 1981 Scott was very active in the 80’s music scene playing bass with the Mr.Cairo band touring western Canada constantly six nights a week!! Scott’s friend and legendary producer Bob Rock, mixed Scott’s songs on the Mr.Cairo tape/c.d.Then in 1991 he moved to Nanaimo, on Vancouver Island where he began his other career in music retail at Nanaimo Music Store with his friend Noel Heads. Playing live and session work continued heavily while Scott juggled work and play. Scott’s son Jeremy, born in 1988, was his inspiration. Jeremy grew up to become an excellent bass player himself. Then in 2015 Scott made the bold and courageous move to Tennessee where he lives today. Quickly meeting musicians there, he is playing, recording, doing on-line session work, music retail, guitar repairs (a licenced Fender repairman) and loving life with his wife Gayl.
